SUMMARY:#accshootout - Ballon Classic
DESCRIPTION:We have a golden opportunity coming up soon to getout there and grab some unique photos on Friday July 25 throughSunday July 27 at the Canton Pro Football Hall of Fame Festival. \nFor the early risers there is a balloon launch at 6:30 am on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday.  \nThere is another balloon launch in the early evening around 6:00 pm on Friday and Saturday.  Friday night there is a night glow where numerous balloons are illuminated at night while anchored to the ground. It is quite an impressive sight.  See the link below for more details:  https://www.profootballhoffestival.com/balloon-classic/ \nThere will be thousands of people in attendance during the day and evenings. Early morning balloon launches have fewer attendees allowing better access for you to get some great shots. If you are interested in meeting up with other members of the club let me know and perhaps we can arrange a time and location to meet. There are many times during the three days that\, individually\, members can find opportunities to do some shooting that fits their schedule.  Due to ever-changing weather conditions\, clearance for balloon lift-off is determined immediately before launch.

DESCRIPTION:This morning I checked out Alderfer Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuary in Medina as a location for a shootout.  The Water Lillies are in full bloom right now.  According to Google AI\, Water Lilly Blooms last about 3-5 days.  Not sure if it is too late to do something this weekend.  Maybe Sunday?  It’s probably best to get there early before the light gets too strong and blows out the Water Lilly Blooms.  I was there at 7:30 – 8am this morning and the light was still good. \nThere are also a couple other ponds\, wildflowers\, some buildings\, dragonflies\, birds (Wild Turkey)\, and other macro subjects to photograph. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAlderfer-Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuarymedinacountyparks.com\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNot sure where everyone lives\, so I did a google maps from downtown Akron and its around 18 miles\, 23 minutes from there. \n6100 Ridge RoadSharon Center\, Ohio \n– Martin

DESCRIPTION:I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this pleasant NE Ohio weather we’re having lately.  I wanted to send an invite to our upcoming shootout.  We are looking at going to the Akron Zoo on Saturday\, June 21st.  The zoo opens at 10am and we’re hoping to meet around 9:50am at the entrance as a group. Dave has an idea of how we should go through the zoo in order to avoid crowds if a lot of people show up that day.\nThink of this shootout as a starter to wildlife photography. I think you can bring any type of lens or cellphone and get creative with your shots of the wildlife there. Feel free to purchase your tickets ahead of time online. Prices appear to be $14.50 per adult on this day.
